I'm glad you like the wiki, many of us have worked very hard on it. I haven't been as active lately as I once was, but I have been meaning to do some of the pages about the chapters, so don't worry, you'll get your wish.
To answer your question, my first experience with the series was when I read a review of the manga about six or seven years ago now. Later when I was looking for some in-depth info (I'm a big canon-head for a lot of series I like) I found this site and started working on it.
