I've been leafing through FMA omakes and, even though I can't read Japanese, I found one that apparently says that Comanche's spinning attacks are a reference to the fact that he is named after a helicopter, which sure makes sense. I believe someone out there has a printed volume, so could anyone please confirm this? Kiadony 18:06, February 23, 2010 (UTC)

Wow. That's spectacular! I have the volume that contains that omake and I checked it out, but it's apparent from comparing it to the Japanese page you're provided that Viz decided to omit that information. I could have some of my Japanese speaking friends, check it out, but frankly, I don't see a need. The fact that he's named after a helicopter (a fact of which I was unaware) is enough for me not to doubt in the slightest that his spinning attacks are a joke on Arakawa's part. Well, I knew he was named after a helicopter, but somehow I never thought about this reference, maybe because I never paid enough attention to the character. I've forgotten the exact episode, but in a flashback early on in the 2009 series before Giolio goes up against Scar he appears in a scrollthrough of State Alchemists before his supposed 15th episode debut.75.102.216.94 19:47, May 9, 2013 (UTC)
