Thanks for the offer. I just felt like the colour scheme was a bit too dark/dull. I wanted to brighten it up a bit. What are your thoughts on it? Do you prefer the original theme or the current one? Or maybe we should try a different theme?
I think we should keep a dark theme. But it's true the pure black background is kind of annoying. In my opinion, we should brighten it up a bit. Using pure black or pure white is often not a good idea. Maybe a dark grey would work better? (like the one we have when writing an answer to a thread)
I think we should use use the original theme, only lighten some of the colors slightly so they aren't as dark. Having too many bright colors makes the website look gaudy if the colors stick out too much or do not match the wiki's color scheme.
Making the background such a light gray kind of messes up the front page's colors too. Perhaps we can choose a darker shade of gray for the background instead of black?
This is just my opinion, but I think we should use shades of red and grey to complement the colours of the wordmark/logo. To me, it seemed like the original theme had a more brownish shade than red. But if you don’t like this shade of red because it’s too light/bright, maybe we could use a slightly more darker one.
By the way, you did a great job in the redesign of the wiki. I really like the design of the main page.
