Linter Village at sunset
Linter Village (リンター村 Rintā-mura), known as just Linter in English, is a village in the country of Amestris that exists only in the 2003 anime. It is home to Majhal, Clause, and Karin and only appears in the episode A Forger's Love.
Unlike the other named towns exclusive to the 2003 anime (Xenotime, Aquroya), Linter is not featured on the map of Amestris in FMA Mobile.
Its name was never mentioned in the show itself, however the official Hagaren website for the 2003 anime mentions the town's name on Majhal and Clause's pages.[1][2] Its name was then officially romanized into English as "Linter" in the trading card game.
Trivia[]
- In the trading card game, there is a card called "Policeman" which depicts the police officer from the train station at the beginning of A Forger's Love. The subtitle of the card says "Citizen of Linter", however in the actual episode, the officer states that Majhal lives in "the next town over", meaning that the officer isn't from Linter at all.
